About the Chamber
Who We Are
KNCCI Meru Chapter is the official county chamber representing Meru's business community, operating under the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
KNCCI Meru Chapter
KNCCI Meru Chapter is the county chamber representing Meru's business community, operating under the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) — Kenya's longest-serving independent voice of the private sector, with a National Office and chambers across all 47 counties.
Established as part of the national KNCCI network (founded 1965, relaunched 2014), the Meru Chapter serves as the bridge between Meru's traders, SMEs, and large enterprises and the opportunities, advocacy, and connections they need to thrive.
Meru is the 5th largest county economy in Kenya and the leading county in horticultural production — coffee, tea, French beans, and dairy. The Chamber positions itself as a champion of both agribusiness and urban trade, working to ensure that Meru's business community has a powerful, unified voice.

Meru County
Kenya's 5th Largest County Economy
Meru County sits on the fertile slopes of Mount Kenya, with volcanic soils that produce some of Kenya's finest coffee, tea, and horticultural products. It is the leading county in horticultural production — a powerhouse of French beans, dairy, and cut flowers.
The Chamber exists to ensure that this economic strength translates into sustainable prosperity for all Meru businesses — from small market traders to large-scale agricultural exporters.
